FAIR ISAAC SAYS NEW SERVICE CUTS FALSE POSITIVES.(Brief Article)

Fair Isaac Corp. is touting a new service and software that it claims cuts in half the incidence of 'false positives' for card- present retailers. False positives are transactions incorrectly flagged for review, inconveniencing the customer and risking the loss of a sale for the merchant. Strategy Science for Fraud Referral layers another analysis on Fair Isaac's Falcon Fraud Manager, checking each transaction for the revenue the consumer will generate if the transaction is approved, says David Shellenberger, marketing director.
